RISE Golf is a collaboration with local community centers to bring our golf and life skills program to inner-city youth who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate. There is no fee for this program to the participants. Our goal is to educate the participant and the entire family about the benefits of golf and its inherent values. Once participants have become familiar with our program and the game of golf in general, they will transition to traditional First Tee program opportunities at their local golf course.
This is a full-service program where we provide healthy meals, uniform golf attire, equipment, and any other needs for our RISE families to make this an enjoyable and successful experience. As participants transition to one of our traditional First Tee — Greater Sacramento programs, we provide them with Golferships so that registration fees do not prevent any child from continuing with our program.
In order to complete our mission, at RISE Golf we are also working to educate our participants about the importance of succeeding in school, and as they become teenagers we become mentors and advocates for them so they can learn and understand how to research, apply, and get accepted in to the college of their choice.
